…Tuesday? Tricks

I didn’t take this picture, but I wish I did. From the moment I first saw it on iheartfaces’ Photoshop Friday, I fell in love with it. It just spoke to me! This picture was featured over a month ago, but I never got around to finishing my edit even though I kept revisiting it. Good thing too, because I learned something new about editing skin tones in the meantime. I basically started from scratch today and did a way better job the second time around. I couldn’t quite get the greenish tone out of this nice man’s face — that is, until Camera Raw (a.k.a. ACR). Here’s the best part: this image is a jpeg, but it is still totally possible and practical to edit jpegs in Camera Raw. I have always been a Photoshop FREAK but now have a new appreciation and love for ACR. I’m amazed how these skin tones changed within about two seconds of adjusting inside Camera Raw when I spent well over an hour in Photoshop and STILL did NOT achieve the right look. If you want more details about this, just pop me an email and I’ll spill the juicy (yet simple) beans. Happy… what day is it again? Oh. Wednesday. (!)

Kristi Reutzel - Yes, yes, yes! I want to know more about what you did to fix his skin tone. Actually, I would love to know all the details, the photo looks great! I love that you can still use ACR even with JPG images, but am no pro with it by any means. You are so talented!

I know the posting is older, but I was wondering if you would still share how you edited skin tones in camera raw?

Thank you so much.
